Here and Now
Valeryan is still singing and recording and arranging her original songs and producing them for relase for anyone who would like to hear them …… perhaps you could call it writing her memoires in song.
She now has an active music publishing company, VAR Productions Ltd and a digital recording studio at Stoke Prior in rural Herefordshire where, recently, she’s been working remotely with musicians all over the globe producing her latest releases … She’s back playing synthesiser and is “currently having a ball” …….
Since October 2022 there have been 24 new releases, all of which can be accessed from her Recent Releases page and there are many more in the pipeline…… watch this space for updates…..
The Back Story
Valeryan was lead singer with the famous UK pop folk band The Settlers in 1976 and the young girl who brought the English language version of Plaisir d’Amour (My Love Loves Me) to the singles charts a little while earlier, while still at school in Surrey…… After leaving The Settlers she followed a solo career on the International cabaret circuits until the mid 80’s when choosing to “retire” from the professional music scene to bring up a family. ……. never intending to return …
As we all know never is a very long time, and after her family were grown up she started writing and singing again……
